Adding a PIT Lead

A PIT Lead is a user whose access is scoped to specific teams within a PIT count. This is useful when you’ve divided your count into teams with different leads and want each lead to see their own team’s data without giving them full access to the whole account.

PIT Leads are available on the sophisticated plan.

Requirements

You need to have set up your teams before you can scope a PIT Lead to any of them.

1. Invite the user with the PIT Lead role

In the Users area of the admin portal, click Add User, enter their email, and select PIT Lead as the role. They’ll get an invitation to set up their login.

At this point they have the PIT Lead role but don’t yet have access to any team data — per-count team assignment happens in step 2.

2. Assign them to teams in a PIT count

Open the PIT count, go to the Settings tab, and find the Lead Assignment section. Select the PIT Lead and pick the team (or teams) they should have access to in this count.

Because assignments are per-count, the same person can be scoped to different teams across different PIT counts.

What they can see

A PIT Lead can view surveys, analytics, and reports for the teams they’ve been assigned to in a given PIT count. They can’t see data from other teams and can’t make account-wide changes.
